Waikaka Station has been home to Waikaka Herefords since 1954. We operate a closed herd and are intent on providing the best possible Hereford genetics to breeders and farmers across New Zealand. We sell yearling bulls in the spring, predominantly servicing the dairy market, and our main focus is on our beef breeding with our Annual Bull Sale held late autumn every year since 1954. Traditionally a horned Hereford Stud, we began our Polled Hereford breeding programme with the introduction of Monymusk Eiffel Tower in 2011 and are very pleased with our herd today as his progeny continues to perform well for us, and with the addition of subsequent polled sires, Otapawa RedWolf 4061, Waikaka Hustler 1446 and Matariki Jetson we are very confident in the genetics backing our Polled Herefords.

Purchased at Beef Expo in 2011, Eiffel Tower was a standout bull. His compact size and carcass was and is what the industry is working toward, putting plenty of steak onto a smaller frame. Eiffel Tower semen has been exported to Australia and Uruguay, We also have semen qualified for North America

Red Wolf was purchased at Beef Expo 2016, We liked his moderate size and easy finishing characteristics that clearly show through in his EBVs.
